The Imo State University (IMSU) has released its school fees for the 2023/2024 academic session. The fees have been increased by 10% from the previous session.
Here is a breakdown of the new fees:
- Freshmen: N120,000
- Returning students: N100,000
- Postgraduate students: N150,000
The following fees are also applicable to all students:
- Acceptance fee: N10,000
- Accommodation fee: N20,000
- Examination fee: N5,000
- Library fee: N2,000
- Sports fee: N1,000
- Student union fee: N1,000
The deadline for payment of school fees is October 15, 2023.
Late payment of fees will attract a penalty of N10,000.
Students are advised to pay their fees early to avoid any penalties.
How to pay school fees:
- Students can pay their fees online through the IMSU portal.
- Students can also pay their fees at any of the designated banks.

- Transportation: N10,000 – N20,000 per semester
- Books and stationery: N10,000 – N15,000 per semester

The total cost of attending IMSU for the 2023/2024 academic session is estimated to be between N250,000 and N350,000.
Students are advised to start saving for their school fees and other expenses as early as possible.
