The management of Sokoto State University (SSU) has released the cut-off marks for the 2023/2024 academic session. The cut-off marks are the minimum scores that candidates must obtain in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the Post-UTME screening exercise to be considered for admission into the university.
UTME Cut-off Mark
The general UTME cut-off mark for admission into SSU is 160. However, departmental cut-off marks vary. The departmental cut-off marks for some of the popular courses are as follows:
- Accounting: 180
- Business Administration: 170
- Computer Science: 180
- Economics: 170
- Law: 200
- Medicine: 210
- Nursing: 180
- Pharmacy: 200
Post-UTME Screening Cut-off Mark
In addition to the UTME cut-off mark, candidates must also meet the Post-UTME screening cut-off mark to be considered for admission. The Post-UTME screening cut-off mark is usually 50% of the total score for the screening exercise.
How to Check SSU Cut-off Mark
Candidates can check the SSU cut-off mark on the university’s website. To do this, follow these steps:
- Visit the SSU website: https://ssu.edu.ng/home/
- Click on the “Admissions” tab.
- Under the “Undergraduate Admissions” section, click on “Cut-off Marks”.
- Select the academic session and course of interest.
- The cut-off marks will be displayed on the screen.
