In the meantime, you can use the cut-off marks for the 2022/2023 academic session as a guide. The cut-off mark for most courses was 180. However, the cut-off mark for some courses, such as Medicine and Surgery, was higher.

How to Check Your NMU Cut-off Mark

Once the NMU cut-off mark for the 2023/2024 academic session has been released, you can check your cut-off mark on the NMU website.

To check your cut-off mark, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the NMU website (https://mynmu.nmu.edu/)
  2. Click on the “Admissions” tab
  3. Click on the “Cut-off Marks” link
  4. Select your program of study
  5. Enter your UTME score
  6. Click on the “Submit” button

What to Do If You Do Not Meet the NMU Cut-off Mark

If you do not meet the NMU cut-off mark, you may still be able to gain admission to the university through other means. These include:

  • Direct Entry: If you have a diploma or other relevant qualification, you may be eligible for direct entry into the second year of your program of study.
  • Supplementary Admission: NMU may conduct supplementary admission exams for candidates who did not meet the cut-off mark in the UTME.
  • Inter-University Transfer: If you are already studying at another university, you may be able to transfer to NMU.

The NMU cut-off mark is an important factor to consider when applying to the university. However, it is not the only factor that is considered. The university also looks at your UTME score, your O’level results, and your post-UTME score.

If you do not meet the NMU cut-off mark, do not give up. There are still other ways to gain admission to the university.
