Jafaru Suleiman Ribadu was born on November 1, 1960, in Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria. He is the son of Suleiman Ribadu, a retired police officer, and Fatima Ribadu, a housewife. Ribadu had a humble upbringing; his family was poor and he had to work hard to support them.
