FUTA Admission Requirements 2024/2025 (UTME & Direct Entry)

Securing admission into the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) is a goal for many aspiring students. FUTA Admission Requirements for UTME:

  2. JAMB Registration: FUTA must be selected as the first choice of institution during JAMB registration.
  3. JAMB UTME Score: Candidates are required to score at least 180 in the JAMB UTME examination to be eligible for admission.
  4. Post UTME Screening: Prospective students must purchase the FUTA post UTME form and pass the screening process.
  5. Correct Subject Combinations: It is crucial to choose the correct subject combinations relevant to the desired course. Incorrect combinations will not be considered.

FUTA Requirements for Direct Entry (DE):

  1. SSCE/GCE Credits: A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
  2. ‘A’ Level/IJMB Passes: Candidates should have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects related to their area of study.
  3. JUPEB/A’ Level Passes: JUPEB/A’ Level passes in related subjects are accepted.
  4. Degree Qualification: For some courses, a Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in related fields is required.
  5. FUTA Direct Entry Form: Direct entry candidates must purchase the FUTA Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and FUTA Portal.
  6. Merit Pass in NCE/ND: A minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates.
