Alhaji Salihu Tanko is a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist. He is the chairman of the BUA Group, a conglomerate with interests in sugar, cement, flour, pasta, and real estate.

Tanko was born in Kano, Nigeria, in 1953. He is the son of Alhaji Isiyaku Rabiu, a successful businessman and philanthropist. Tanko attended Government Secondary School, Kano, and then went on to study accounting at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
