Coronavirus: Apple recommends precautions to shareholders

In view of the annual meeting with shareholders scheduled for today at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, Apple has advised all participants to take further precautions due to the epidemic of the coronavirus.

In a message sent to everyone who will participate at the shareholders’ meeting, Apple lets know who is working closely with experts to follow the official guidelines of the US centers for the control and prevention of infectious diseases, so as to implement the best practices related to COVID-19.

Apple has also asked everyone who has traveled to China in the past few weeks to complete the quarantine period of at least 14 days in order to attend the meeting.

The meeting to be held today should not offer particular interesting news for consumers, given that Apple usually updates its shareholders on profits and some strictly financial activities. However, it is likely that the consequences of the coronavirus on the current quarter will also be discussed.
