It’s been a while since the launch of the Android 10 operating system. There are still a number of OEMs that are yet to fully upgrade its devices to the Android 10 update. Some of them are either in beta or for some, the beta has not kick-started yet. Heavy skinned OEMs are taking time in pushing out the Android 10 update. The same is in the case with Oppo smartphones. However, if you own an Oppo Reno2 Z smartphone then there is a good piece of news waiting for you. The Chinese OEM has confirmed the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) update trials for the Oppo Reno2 Z to begin in March 2020.
Notably, this confirmation was done by the official Twitter handle of ColorOS. Responding to a user query, it stated that:
Hello, ColorOS 7 trial version for this model will kick off in March. Sorry to keep you waiting. Stay tuned for our update news.
This trail phase for the ColorOS 7 is in line with the timeline shared by the company. According to the roadmap, the Oppo Reno2 Z devices are going to be served with the Android 10 (ColorOS 7) update in Q1 of 2020. To recall, Oppo Reno2 Z was launched back in 2019 and packs in specifications like Helio P90 along with 8GB of RAM. There is a 4,000 mAh battery along with a 6.53-inch display. There is a quad-camera setup with a 48 MP primary camera. Oppo Reno2 Z offers an under-display optical fingerprint scanner along with a motorized pop-up selfie camera. The device comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box.
It is one of the Oppo Reno2 series phones. There is no information on when the Android 10 update will launch for the Oppo Reno2 Z. However, users can experience the ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 update on their devices by enrolling for the trial version for Oppo Reno2 Z.
