Apple continues its expansion plans in the city of New York, as confirmed by a new lease for a series of offices near Madison Square Garden.
With this agreement, Apple leases from the eleventh to the fourteenth floor of a building in Penn Plaza, called Penn 11, for a total of 20,000 square meters. Apple has also optioned other spaces on the ninth floor.
According to New York Post, the agreement was signed with the building company Vornado Realty Trust. Previously, these spaces were occupied by Macy’s who are now moving their headquarters to Long Island. The lease agreement is valid for five years, with subsequent options for extending this period.
This new deal confirms that Apple wants to have a greater presence with various offices in New York.
