Tom Sadowski’s book is titled App Store Confidential and, according to Apple, would contain commercial secrets of great value for the company.
Tom Sadowski he is the former manager of the German App Store and therefore knows all the practices adopted by Apple to manage the store, for example as regards approvals, waste and all relations with third-party developers. Also for this reason, Apple immediately waged a legal battle for prevent the publication of App Store Confidential, a book that may contain trade secrets that should not be shared.
The book, published by Murmann Verlag in Hamburg, is a personal testimony of former manager Tom Sadowski, who worked for Apple until November 2019. The author denies the disclosure of trade secrets in his book.
A letter sent by Apple’s attorneys, he asks Sadowski and his publisher to stop selling the book, to withdraw all copies in circulation and to destroy all manuscripts, claiming that the author has violated the agreements and the contract signed with Apple.
